Parents, we ask for your support in talking with your middle school children about their social media activity. We encourage you to remind them to be respectful and show kindness towards others on social media. We ask that you talk to them about the legal consequences of creating content that defames others’ reputations or causes social-emotional harm. We respectfully remind you, as adults, to monitor your children’s social media accounts. Even though they may sometimes want to act as adults, please remind them that they are not.
